The exhibition took place at Egbert BaquƩ Contemporary Art, Berlin from 20th August till 17th September, 2011.
STATE: Cohort Now in the Freies Museum Berlin:
Born in Tallinn, Estonia, 1984. Lives and works in Tallinn, Estonia
Studied in the Estonian Academy of Arts, in 2009 completed a BA in Fine Art in the University of East London.
Participated in exhibitions in the Helsinki Art Hall, Finland; Estonian Contemporary Art Museum; The Rag Factory, London, UK; worked in the "Globalization and Contemporary Art" project in Malmö Art Academy, Sweden.
Held the first solo exhibition "Zona" in 2008 in Tallinn, Estonia. Explored the ethnic origins and customs of the Finno-Ugric people as participated in research expedition to Russia and documented the acquired knowledge in several exhibits.
Murusalu has worked on two documentaries - as a screenwriter for "Born for the Dance. Kai Leete"(2010) - a biographical documentary about a choreographer - and as an author for a documentary "Shred of Dernier" about vanishing Karelian language and their culture in Tver Oblast, Russia (2009).
